Who We Are

Praxis and Policy is dedicated to analyzing historical policies from empires and nations from the past such as Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, Great Britain, and the Mughal Empire. Our focus lies in how these policies shaped the lives of forgotten and marginalized populations through comprehensive articles and insightful analyses, connecting history to contemporary issues. We aim to foster a deeper understanding of the past to inspire future dialogues and actions around equity and justice.

Praxis and Policy was created by Yash Kothari, a high school student, amateur historian, and policy researcher based in Seattle. Through Praxis and Policy, Yash hopes to empower readers to see history not as a static record of dates, numbers, and empires, but as a living set of lessons about power, morality, and what it means to build a just world.
